ShopNotes Podcast 211 - Why are you listening to our conversation?

By: Phil Huber
Phil, Logan, and John we're talking about what woods you can mix together, teaching classes, and a new band saw.

Logan and I are teaching classes for the Des Moines Woodworkers club this fall. I've been doing it for 10 years or more. It's a lot of fun and a great way to pass on the joys of woodworking.

Shelf box

Logan kicked off a class on the project we called a shelf box. I built a version for a video and then gave as a gift. The project combines a lot of woodworking skills in an accessible project.

Logan provides materials (he is a sawyer afterall). And it's interesting to hear the wood choices and ideas that people want for their projects.

Tool chest project taught by Phil Huber

Later in the fall of 2024, I'm teaching a class on making a small-ish tool chest. Here again, there are quite a few lessons packed into an unassuming case.

You want a glue that you can trust. And fortunately, Titebond has the glue you need to get the job done with confidence. From interior glues with strong initial tack and short clamp time to exterior glues with exceptional strength and water resistance, look to Titebond - the right glue for your next project.
